50 Places to Find New Patients – Part 3

This is our final blog on 50 Places to Find New Patients.  If you missed Part 1 & Part 2, be sure and check them out too!

Here are the final 15 ways to get more patients to your office.

36. Word of Mouth

But you have to give them something to talk about!  Be unexpected, random, and exceed expectations to get people talking about you.  What can you do that’s above and beyond?

37. Hulu and YouTube Ads

Internet shows are very popular, and many of the free subscriptions force viewers to watch ads before they can continue to the show they want to watch.  This is a great way to get in front of your target audience.

38. Forwarded Emails With An Ad

Email in the inbox

You know those funny emails that get forwarded and forwarded and forwarded by people to their friends?  Well when you get one that’s especially funny, add a little pitch for your practice at the bottom and then forward it to all your patients.  It will get passed around and you might get some traffic to your website.  Keep it professional and don’t do this too often though… they might get tired of it.

39. Groupon, Living Social, Etc

Be careful to put together an offer that will bring in long-term patients, not bargain hunters.

40. Social Media Integration

To add to social media ideas, make sure you put a “Like”, “Tweet”, “LinkedIn Share”, "Pin It" or “Google+” button on blog posts, or other stuff you send out.  People can then easily share your ideas, blog posts, or website with their social media friends.

41. Be A Guest Blogger

Offer to do a guest post on a blog that reaches your target audience.  Or in a local magazine. Or newsletter. Or group publication. Or anything.

42. Targeted URLs

Set up different URLs to target different searchers.  For example, “EastMillCreekSedationDentistry.com” or “BeverlyHillsTeethWhitening.com”, etc.  Then build a targeted landing page or micro-site for that procedure or need.

43. Logo On Your Car

Not for the faint of heart or shy.  And make sure it doesn’t look ugly!  There are magnetic logos you can purchase so you can easily remove when needed.

44. Ask Patients "Who Else In Your House Needs to Schedule?"

“Ok, great, we have you down for the 15th of November.  Is there anyone else in your family you’d like to schedule while we are on the phone now?”

45. Patient Appreciation Parties

Bring a friend! Raffle off great prizes to get attendees.

46. Get Your Team Asking for Referrals

Have a contest for who can ask for referrals the most often in a given month.

47. Testimonials

"TESTIMONIALS" Tag Cloud (customer satisfaction feedback button)

Ask your patients for testimonials that you can add to social media and your website.  Tag your patient (with permission) so your page shows up in front of their friends.

48. Mommy Blogs

Every community has their mommy blog “queen pin”.  Reach out, do an interview, guest post an article, give their subscribers a special offer.

49. Television Commercials

The most costly of all advertisements, but depending on your market, could be the most effective.

50. Offer a dental Warranty

Set yourself apart from other dental offices and offer a nationwide, no-fault protection warranty on procedures that could break. 1 out of 3 patients are buying it and telling their friends too.

We hope you enjoyed these tips on finding new patients.  Let us know if you have any others you want to share with us!
